Raimund A. Engel, MSc., D.O. is a practising osteopath in Vienna, Principal of the Vienna School of Osteopathy (www.wso.at) and lecturer at the International Academy of Physioenergetics/Holistic Kinesiology. In his osteopathic practice he uses holistic kinesiology as an adjunct tool to speed up the diagnostic process and to identify problems that might need other forms of treatment.
Since 1999 Raimund has become increasingly involved in international osteopathic affairs, working with the Forum for Osteopathic Regulation in Europe (FORE), the European Federation of Osteopaths (EFO) and on the board of the World Osteopathic Health Organisation (WOHO). More recently as president of OsEAN, the Osteopathic European Academic Network (www.osean.com), he has been promoting the cooperation between osteopathic schools in Europe, through projects like educational conferences, teacher trainings and a students’ exchange program.
Raimund has more than two decades of teaching experience in kinesiology and osteopathy; mainly in Austria, but in recent years as well internationally (e.g. in Germany, Spain, Japan, Russia, Poland and Brazil). He is also a regular presenter at international conferences.
